What You Can Do

What you can do as a LGBT alumni to make a difference

  • Join USNA Out.

  • Join SAGALA - the Service Academy Gay and Lesbian Alumni network. SAGALA membership includes alumni from all five federal service academies and serves as our administrative network. Keep your SAGALA e-mail address up-to-date so that you are not removed from the SAGALA membership.

  • Join the USNA Alumni Association. If you are in a stable financial situation, consider joining fellow USNA Out members who have become members of the USNA Alumni Association and Foundation's "President's Circle"

  • Take your partner to your class, company or team reunion – many of us have found that the real face of a real person makes it much easier for our company mates, classmates and teammates to understand that our relationships are identical to theirs.

  • Enlist your roommate, company mates, classmates and teammates to join USNA Out.

  • Submit articles to your class column as do your classmates and include your "family" in the photos and your writeup.

  • Take your partner/boyfriend/girlfriend to local chapter alumni functions.

  • Donate to USNA Out.

  • Volunteer to help out at USNA Out.
