Supporting “Freedom to Serve”
Although it is not within the objectives or mission of USNA Out to actively pursue changing the current law regarding homosexuals in the service, we know first hand that the policy is wrong and is causing harm to our nation’s military readiness. We applaud the work of the organizations that work hard to secure the freedom to serve in the armed forces:

Although the USNA Alumni Association has chosen Yale University as the “model” for the USNA Alumni Association and Foundation, several other colleges and universities are frequently mentioned as those which specifically compete with the U. S. Naval Academy for the same candidates.
