Anthony F. Chiffolo

Anthony Chiffolo grew up in East Schodack, New York, just across the Hudson River from Albany. He graduated from the Naval Academy at the top of his class, proceeded to Pensacola to train as a naval flight officer, and eventually joined VAW-126, where he flew as a mission commander in the E-2C Hawkeye aircraft off the USS JOHN F KENNEDY. After a brief shore tour testing datalink software, he joined the editorial staff of the Naval Institute Press. He also remained in the Naval Reserve, from which he retired after 20 years of service.

Chiffolo's editorial career has also included positions with Liguori Publications and Fordham University Press. He is currently editorial director of Praeger Publishers, a general-interest nonfiction book publisher located in Westport, Connecticut.

Additionally, Chiffolo is the author of ten published books, all in religion, the most recent of which is Cooking with the Bible: Biblical Food, Feasts, and Lore. Anthony has a 14-year-old daughter who lives with him and his partner, Rusty, in Hartsdale, NY, a suburb of New York City.
